Delay/cancellation verification for travel insurance

Changes and Cancellations

Southwest Airlines® does not provide or administer travel insurance. If you purchased travel insurance through a third-party provider, you may need to submit documentation to support a delay or cancellation claim.

Many travel insurance providers may accept documentation you may already have, including:

  • A screenshot of your flight's status from Southwest.com®.
  • A flight status notification we sent by text or email
  • A receipt of your trip or by accessing a receipt for your trip.

Please note that documentation requirements vary by insurance provider. Contact your travel insurance provider directly to confirm what documentation is required to process your claim. Southwest Airlines is not responsible for the outcome of any travel insurance claim and does not endorse or guarantee the services of any third-party insurance provider.
