Snow ski equipment

• Snow ski equipment, including skis or snowboards, ski boots, and ski poles is accepted as checked baggage.
• When checking snow ski equipment, we allow up to two bags (containing one set of snow skis or one snowboard, one set of ski poles, and one pair of ski/snowboard boots packed in a container(s) acceptable to Southwest) to count as one item, even if they are packed and tagged separately. Each bag must weigh 50 pounds or less to be exempt from an overweight bag fee.
• Snow ski equipment packed in a plastic bag will be transported only with a limited release of liability.

Water ski equipment

• Water ski equipment should be packed in a hard, plastic case or standard equipment case and include no more than one pair of water skis and one life preserver or vest.
• Water ski equipment packed in a plastic bag will be transported only with a limited release of liability.

Fees for both snow and water ski equipment

• Snow and water ski equipment over 100 pounds in weight and/or 115 inches in total dimensions cannot be checked as baggage.
• Standard checked bag fees and overweight bag fees apply to snow and water ski equipment.
• Oversize fees are waived.
