• When shopping for a particular day, use the sorting features to sort by lowest price. Keep in mind that our Basic fare comes with more restrictions than our other fares.
• Use our Low Fare Calendar to see the lowest fares currently available on each day for a month at a time. Keep in mind that our Basic fare comes with more restrictions than our other fares.
• Sign up to receive Southwest® emails to be alerted when we offer a sale.

Other tips for finding a fare for your flight include:

• Shop early and shop often. Our fares can change at any time, even while you are shopping.
• Book a low fare as early as you can. If you need to change your flight and purchased Choice Extra, Choice Preferred, or Choice, you’ll only pay the difference in fare (if applicable). Basic fares cannot be changed. If you want to make a change to a reservation with a Basic fare, you must first upgrade your reservation to a Choice, Choice Preferred, or Choice Extra fare. 
• If you find a lower fare after booking and purchased Choice, you can change your reservation and receive the difference as a Transferable Flight Credit^™. Or, if you purchased a ticket that includes refundability, you will have the option to refund the difference back to your original form of payment. Basic fares cannot be changed. If you want to make a change to a reservation with a Basic fare, you must first upgrade your reservation to a Choice, Choice Preferred, or Choice Extra fare.
