A Transferable Flight Credit™ is a credit from a voluntary downgrade in fare or canceled reservation with a Choice, Choice Preferred, and/or Choice Extra fare. A Transferable Flight Credit can be used to buy a future flight and can be transferred once between Rapid Rewards® Members. Transferable Flight Credits created on or before May 27, 2025 do not expire. Transferable Flight Credits created from reservations booked or changed on or after May 28, 2025 have a specified expiration date. All travel must be completed by the expiration date.
Transferable Flight Credits are not generated if you choose to cancel your partner itinerary.
View your available Transferable Flight Credits™:
To view your available Transferable Flight Credits associated with your Rapid Rewards® account, log in to your account, and select “My Account” from the menu options at the top of the page (for desktop) or scroll down to “My Travel Funds” at the bottom of the page (for mobile and the Southwest® app). Next, select “Payment” from the menu options within your account. Any available Transferable Flight Credits associated with your name and account number should be listed.

To book a flight with a Transferable Flight Credit™:
When booking a flight, you’ll see an option to apply a flight credit on the payment screen and can do so by entering the confirmation number associated with the Transferable Flight Credit. Each Passenger can use a total of three forms of payment per booking, and each flight credit counts as a form of payment.
Transferable Flight Credits cannot be applied toward a Getaways by Southwest™ vacation package.
