Booking travel
- You can book international flights on the Southwest® app or Southwest.com®
- Enter your passport information during the booking process on Southwest.com any time prior to travel by accessing your reservation online or at the airport on the day of travel. Learn more about identification needed for travel.
Checking in for your flight
Customers who do not require a visa can use the camera on their mobile device to scan their passport and/or U.S. I-551 Permanent Resident Card at check-in. Alternatively, Customers can have their passport book verified by a Southwest® Customer Service Agent or kiosk at the Southwest Airlines® ticket counter on the day of travel.
Customers traveling internationally can access their boarding pass after their passport or U.S. I-551 Permanent Resident Card has been scanned digitally or at the airport. If you use the same passport or U.S. I-551 Permanent Resident Card for your return flight, you'll be able to access your mobile boarding pass for your return flight online within 24 hours of departure.
Customers traveling to/from Aruba, Havana, and Punta Cana cannot check in online.
