If you do not plan to travel, please cancel your reservation at least 10 minutes before the flight’s original scheduled departure time. Depending on the type of ticket, you may forfeit the value if you do not cancel the reservation at least 10 minutes in advance and do not travel.
Specifically, with the exception of reservations eligible for a refund as a result of a significant flight delay or change (generally a delay of three or more hours domestically and six or more hours internationally) or cancellation, if you don't cancel your reservation at least 10 minutes before the flight's original scheduled departure time, your reservation will be canceled, and
- for Choice Extra or Choice Preferred reservations: the value of the ticket(s) will be refunded in the form of a Transferable Flight Credit™. Transferable Flight Credits™ have a specified expiration date. All travel must be completed by the expiration date.
- for Basic or Choice reservations: the funds will be forfeited.
- for Basic or Choice reward travel reservations (booked with points): any points used for booking the reservation will be forfeited, along with any taxes and fees associated with your reward travel reservation.
- for Choice Preferred or Choice Extra reward travel reservations: the points used for booking will be redeposited to the purchaser's Rapid Rewards® account, and any taxes and fees associated with the reward travel reservation will be converted into a Transferable Flight Credit™ for future use. Transferable Flight Credits™ have a specified expiration date. All travel must be completed by the expiration date.
- for Getaways by Southwest™ vacation bookings: any associated funds will be forfeited.
This no-show policy also applies to reservations booked with Cash + Points as a form of payment.
