Things to consider as you’re shopping during a sale or promotion
- Sale fares are limited. They may not be available on all flights, dates, or routes, and they can sell out quickly.
- Use our Low Fare Calendar to check which discounted fares are offered on specific days in each market. Select your departure and arrival cities, choose your dates, and click “Search.”
- Some sales and promotions require a promo code. Learn where to apply a promo code when booking.
I booked travel before Southwest® advertised a sale or promotion and want to take advantage of the offer. What should I do?
- Some offers apply only to new reservations. If that’s the case, you would need to book a new reservation that meets the offer requirements. Before canceling your current reservation, review the offer details to ensure your itinerary qualifies, and remember that availability can change quickly. Seats and discounted fares cannot be guaranteed.
- If the offer applies to existing bookings and you did not book a Basic fare, you can modify your reservation. Basic fares cannot be changed. If you want to make a change to a reservation with a Basic fare, you must first upgrade your reservation to Choice, Choice Preferred, or Choice Extra.
