Day of TravelMobile boarding pass information

A mobile boarding pass is a scannable, electronic boarding pass accessible on a personal mobile device that allows you to go through security and board your flight. It’s generated and provided using the Southwest® app on iOS and Android and our mobile website.

How to view:
After checking in on the Southwest app or mobile website, tap the "boarding pass" button. If you're changing planes, you'll receive a boarding pass for each leg of the journey.

We encourage you to save a copy of your mobile boarding pass within Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for easy access during travel. If you are traveling with someone who does not have access to Apple or Google Wallet and who is assigned your same boarding group, you can save both boarding passes in your Apple or Google Wallet and swipe between them during boarding.

Lap Children, Unaccompanied Minors (UMs), individuals traveling on certain international itineraries, individuals traveling on partner reservations, and individuals traveling on military fares and government fares are not eligible for a mobile boarding pass.
