If you realize you left an item on the plane, speak with a Southwest® Customer Service Agent at the airport before leaving. They will attempt to retrieve the item. If you have already left the airport, or if the agent could not retrieve your item before the aircraft departed, please file a lost and found report. You can also review our Frequently Asked Questions about the lost and found process.

If you provide an email address, we will make reasonable efforts to send you regular updates on the status of the search. You will be contacted by email and/or phone if your item is located. If you do not provide an email address, you will be contacted by phone only if we find your item.

If we do not locate your item within thirty (30) days of your report, it is likely that it was not turned in. While we make reasonable efforts to locate lost items, we are not liable for unchecked items left on the plane.
