Our Automated Outbound Messaging (AOM) system is intended to proactively deliver notifications when a flight time changes. During the booking process, Customers choose the preferred delivery method (text or email) for these messages and provide the phone number or email address at that time. Refer to Southwest.com or the Southwest app for the most up-to-date information.

Can I sign up to receive flight status notifications about a specific flight when a friend or family member is traveling?

No. While we only send flight status updates to the day of travel contact associated with the reservation, you can use the link below to check their flight status.
